New Sohodolls single “Mother Wouldn’t Like It” is a light-hearted punk pop atomic bomb about teenage rebellion and getting up to no good on a Friday night with your mates, with thick, driving riffs that stab and bounce with mischievous glory. Sohodolls really know how to write catchy riffs, hooks and lyrics and all are abundantly on display.

I interviewed FRANK TURNER at Boardmasters Festival in 2017, we spoke about it being his 2083rd live show. Fast forward nearly seven years and he’s announced details of gig #3000!

The Commodores once sang “Once, twice, three times a lady”, you might want to sing the song but replace ‘lady’ with ‘BOSS CASS” as this is the third year on the trot that he has been invited to play at BOARDMASTERS FESTIVAL.

Festivals normally have a 2 year rule, whereby an artist or band cannot return within this time period. When it comes to BOSS CASS (FKA FLUFF), he has re-written the rulebook and will be presenting his one man punk rock show to anyone lucky enough to witness it.

April 17, 2024 – Record Store Day, the annual celebration of indie record store culture taking place this Saturday (April 20), is expected to deliver a £9.7m boost to indie record shops, helping secure the future of one of the key pillars of grassroots music culture.
