WITH sun-drenched harmonies and vintage prog rock noodling….MAGIC BUS are on the road to Utopia and are hoping you'll climb on board'.
In 2011 MAGIC BUS self released their debut album which received local and national airplay (including Stuart Marconie and Gideon Coe's shows on BBC6 MUSIC) and also some great reviews at home (Shindig! magazine) and abroad, in particular 'Strange Days' magazine in Japan did a full interview/band feature.
From there Static caravan records approached the band..and from that 'MAGIC BUS' the single was released, which again received BBC6 music airplay and good reviews including single of the week in 'Losing Today'.
August 2014 the new album from Magic Bus 'Transmission from Sogmore's Garden' was released. Among a number of great reviews and interviews, Shindig! magazine ran afull page feature/interview on the band and 'Prog' magazine featured 'Ballad of lord sogmore' on their free cd.
In Sept 2015 'Fruits de mer' records are releasing a 7" vinyl single from the album 'Seven wonders' with a cover of the Byrds classic 'Eight miles high' on the B side. Promotion for the single has already received good airplay on BBC6 music and BBC introducing, local stations around Europe and in the U.S.A and Australia.
The band has been playing live in the U.K throughout 2014/15, with very well received festival appearances being a highlight.
Plans for 2016: To keep that Bus a rollin!, gigs, festivals, writing and spreading the music far and wide.
MAGIC BUS got together in Totnes, Devon with a shared love of late 60's early 70's Canterbury scene meets west coast hippie…but are made for these times.
