STIFF LITTLE FINGERS - Exeter Phoenix

Stiff Little Fingers were formed in 1977 in Belfast, Ireland.  Along with the likes of the Clash, Sex Pistols, The Jam, Buzzcocks, Undertones, Sham 69, Stranglers, et al – Stiff Little Fingers were at the forefront of the punk movement. They wrote initially about their own lives, growing up at the height of The Troubles in Northern Ireland, in songs like Suspect Device and Wasted Life. In November of ’77, they released those two songs on their own Rigid Digits label, and sent a copy to BBC Radio One DJ John Peel, who started playing it every night.

Dreadzone are still going strong after over 20 years in the game with core members Greg Dread, Leo Williams, MC Spee and legendary reggae vocalist Earl 16 alongside Chris Compton on guitar and Bazil completing the current Dreadzone line up. They continue to tour extensively throughout the UK & Europe, and this re-issue is being accompanied by an extensive set of tour dates.

GRASSCUT are composer/producer/vocalist/musician Andrew Phillips and manager/musician Marcus O’Dair. Phillips, who writes and produces all Grasscut music, is also known for his soundtrack work: recent credits include Piper Alpha Fire (BBC2), Children On The Frontline (Channel 4), The Seven Dwarves of Auschwitz (ITV 1), Marco Polo – A Very Modern Journey (3-part series for Chinese TV) and  Tsunami Survivors Stories (ITV1).
