Last time SLEAFORD MODS played in Exeter they packed out the Spacex.

Check them out online. They are a hip hop punk duo from Nottingham, who the Guardian describe as "the authentic voice of dispossessed England! The soundtrack to austerity! The poets laureate of the council estates!"

Because of the punk poetry aspect to the band they do appeal to the arty Guardian reader crowd, but they're also about the most authentic thing I've heard for ages. Really good.

Tied Up In Nottz from the new album Divide And Exit. The new album "Divide and Exit" will be released on Monday 28th April. The production plant has confirmed the date so we're putting the LP up for pre-order : £14 ( UK ), £16 ( Europe ) and £19 ( world ).
