musomusic #9 - We tap into the mind of a photographer, here's his top 9 tracks....

December 18, 2016

First up, we have the very multi-talented tastes of Julian Baird. Julian is an Exeter based landscape photographer who has been working alongside me for the past 4 years to capture some of the finest photos that we have hosted on the site. We were fortunate to be invited by the BBC to cover the 'One Big Weekend' event that took place in May 2016 and this provided Julian with a whole host of A-List acts to shoot across multiple stages with different lighting conditions. Anyway, I digress, I asked Julian to nominate 9 of his favourite tracks, here's what he chose...

MusoMusic #6 - Polished Poppy Sounds

MusoMusic #5 - 30 Years of New Order

October 19, 2016

This weeks's MusoMusic tape spins around New Order and their come back album Music Complete that was released in September. Music Complete, the band's 10th studio album showcases exceptionally New Order's familiar electronic vibes, baselines and 80s-style synths despite the departure of bassist Peter Hook.

The 30-year career of the band does not seem to have diluted their distinct style and still sounds simply like the understated New Order we all know and love.

Enjoy!
