HEADLINE NOVEMBER TOUR AND SUPPORT SHOWS WITH HAIM, BASTILLE AND RUDIMENTAL ANNOUNCED
“A beautiful juxtaposition of golden, heat-shimmering reverb that could soundtrack a Saharan sunrise, and lyrical gloom more in common with this city’s overcast skies.” Clash
“Primed for big things.” Fader
“If it was just plain-old sunshine it’d be nothing of interest. Bipolar Sunshine, though? Well that’s a different prospect.” This Is Fake DIY
“A sound that’s upbeat, full of catchy hooks and beautiful interludes.” The Guardian
After the release of his debut ‘Aesthetics’ EP in June, Manchester’s Bipolar Sunshine has announced his forthcoming ‘Drowning Butterflies EP’ released on 11th November, preceded by lead single ‘Love More Worry Less’ which is available to download now.
Bipolar Sunshine is the solo project of Manchester based Adio Marchant, who created a word of mouth buzz with his tracks ‘Fire’ and ‘Rivers’ when they appeared online this spring. With support at radio including the likes of Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Phil and Alice, Rob da Bank and XFM and online and blog support coming from Fader, This Is Fake DIY, Pigeons and Planes and Disco Naivete to name a few, Bipolar Sunshine created quite an impact with his honest and heartfelt poetic lyrics, upbeat and catchy hooks and one of a kind sound.
‘Drowning Butterflies’ is a 4-track EP featuring lead song ‘Love More Worry Less’, premiered on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show as his ‘Hottest Record in the World’ last night, a new song ‘Trouble’ and title track ‘Drowning Butterflies’ plus a ‘Love More Worry Less’ remix. A collection of songs that uniquely merge indie, R&B and dance, each track tells a profound story backed to signature cheery beats that connect with the listener, opening them up further into the autobiographical world of Bipolar Sunshine.
Bipolar Sunshine took part in the Bacardi Beginnings campaign with Rudimental in July, where they wrote, recorded and performed the track ‘Distance’ together in just a day.
After supporting White Lies on their three London shows earlier this year, headlining two sold out shows in both Manchester and London and appearing at festivals including Reading & Leeds, The Great Escape and Lovebox, Bipolar Sunshine has announced a headline tour this November.
