​SWEARIN’ SIGN TO WICHITA RECORDINGS + ANNOUNCE EUROPEAN TOUR DATES

Wichita Recordings are delighted to announce that they have signed Philadelphia-based band, Swearin’.

The band first caught the attention of the label with their much acclaimed self-titled debut LP, released on Salinas Records in the US, it became one of the office’s favourite albums of 2012. That album will get its first official release in Europe on 21st October and will be followed by a brand new album later this year.

The band are fronted by Allison Crutchfield, twin sister of Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield (they previously played together in P.S. Eliot) and also features Waxahatchee’s drummer Keith Spencer on bass, along with Keith Gilbride (Guitar) and Jeff Bolt (Drums).

Swearin’ have also confirmed their first European tour dates, supporting Waxahatchee in October. These dates follow a run of shows in the US in September supporting riot grrl legend Kathleen Hanna’s new band, The Julie Ruin.
