Young classic and hard rock outfit Audio Disease already started making waves with their last single ‘Breakaway’, a track with 25,000 YouTube views and major backing by UK Rock media – but those waves are being felt across the Atlantic, causing the band to change course to avoid a storm.
A US software giant has the bands moniker registered for use on an auto-tune program. While the lads would love to stick it to the man, they have no desire to have an association with a product that aims to falsely enhance a musicians performance – they are, after all, hard working, talented and honest lads from Dudley.
Inspired by the 1955 classic James Dean movie of the same name, the band have become East Of Eden – apparently, ‘Rebel Without A Cause’ was way too obvious. Vocalist Tom Harris had this to say:
“We are stoked about the change in our name – even though it was kind of enforced, we feel that this suits us better in our mission to create and perform the music we love”.
The band are also happy to announce they will be performing HRH AOR 2 Festival in March 2014, showing that the name has done nothing to halt their constant upwards trajectory.
East of Eden release their debut single from the ashes of Audio Disease’s ‘Breakaway’ on 11th November – the aptly titled ‘Worse Things Have Happened’. Backed by a really funny video and accompanied by a UK Tour, this track is set to cause a tsunami for this feel good band all over again.
