English Rosa is the second single to be released from from the band's debut album due to come out in the spring of 2014. The album in wait was recorded at legendary Rockfield Studios (home of Queen, Oasis, Coldplay and the Stone Roses etc) with their producer Nick Brine who has also worked with all of the aforementioned artists.

The new outfit is led my multimedia creative Scott Milligan and includes bassist Mark Hamon, guitarist Dan Baker, pianist Chris Baldwin and drummer Rob Redfern.

Dave Ball explains: “Scott called me up and asked if I was familiar with The Seventh Seal by Ingmar Bergman. It just happened that a DVD was sitting on my coffee table waiting for a re-run, so I said, ‘Yes. So what? Have I won a prize?"

“He said no, but that Kitten Pyramid would really like me to come and play the Grim Reaper in their video. ‘Ah,’ I thought. ‘This could be my big break!"

“Scott also mentioned that I had met the Reaper more often than most and so was an ideal candidate for the role. Hmmmm.”

Comparisons and influences of the Kittens lean towards Field Music, Bowie, lou Reed, Queen, Talk Talk, Zappa, Swans.

Producer Nick Brine says collaborating with Kitten Pyramid was a “great experience”, adding: “It’s one of the most creative, fun, rewarding and at times heartfelt albums I’ve had the pleasure to work on. I can’t wait for everyone to enter their world.”

Debut album ‘Uh Oh’ is the culmination of several talented people collaborating to create something that is refined, spectacular, exciting and intricate but also communicates the beginning of a story which will evolve throughout this year and no doubt fascinate many.

It centres around the day in the life of a young schizophrenic Polish immigrant arriving in the UK to work (loosely based on lead member Scott Milligan's late uncle, Jarek Baczyk) and will be the soundtrack to a film, also being created by Scott due also for release later on in the year.
