London-based psych-pop chap Cagey Bee will sting your eyes clean out of your face with his debut single "Heat to Survive", a sun-addled three minutes of grinding dub rhythm section, fuzzed-out B-movie guitar and a synth line so wispy you'll think you've just exhaled it.
"My own brand clothing line to dress me / My own examining board to assess me" sings Bee, though in reality he has neither - you're not meant to take it entirely literally, as of course a certain amount of heat is necessary to survive.
"Heat to Survive" is the first 'cut' to be 'dropped' from Cagey Bee's forthcoming debut album The Last Cuppa, produced by Ride legend Mark Gardener at Evolution Studios in Oxford.
The video was filmed in Barcelona during the city's most recent Primavera Sound festival and as such is as disorientatingly sun-drenched as the song itself.
