A band on the brink of something big — FLETCHR FLETCHR’s sophomore EP hits with widescreen ambition

August 17, 2026

Fletchr Fletchr’s second EP, On The Island We Call Home, lands on Friday 21st August via Polydor and feels like a band levelling up in real time. Across its five tracks, they fuse widescreen indie rock with a lyrical lens that turns modern anxieties into something strangely hopeful.

The songs move with cinematic sweep, from expansive, free‑fall guitar moments to rhythm sections that thrum with purpose, creating an emotional arc that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. There’s urgency, reflection, and a sense of youthful ambition that never tips into pretence; instead, it feels like a band confidently stepping into their own skin.

What stands out most is how each track contributes to a bigger picture rather than competing for attention. The EP shifts between roller‑coaster intensity and more nuanced, atmospheric passages, always anchored by the band’s unmistakable backbone.

Their ability to craft melodies that burrow in, choruses that crash over you, and instrumental interplay that rewards repeat listens marks them as a group ready to break through.

This is a life‑affirming, full‑colour snapshot of a band on the cusp, and if you’re looking for someone to champion on their meteoric rise, Fletchr Fletchr are absolutely the ones to back.
