Acoustic, soul pop singer, Julia Zahra is already topping the Netherlands charts and her mesmerising live performances are a regular feature on their prime time Tv shows. Julia Zahra is a stunning 25 year old pop / soul / urban artist who was born in Indianapolis USA but raised in The Netherlands by adoptive parents. At the tender age of 18 Julia was the youngest singer to ever audition and win ‘The Voice of Holland’ The Dutch edition of the reality/ talent show ‘The Voice’. Inevitably this became the start of her epic musical journey, propelling her to fame and chart success in Holland. Now making her debut in the UK, Julia is set to become an Internationally acclaimed singer song-writer.
The first single release ‘Indiana’ which is out now from the forthcoming new album ‘Remedy’ – is a personal song close to the musician’s heart, where she muses about her life and how it could have been, had she grown up with her American birth parents instead of her present family in the Netherlands. A poignant offering in all of its raw honesty – showing Julia Zahra has already undergone an enormous transformation as an artist in this early stage of her ascendant career. “For me it is the first time that I dare translate this deeply personal subject into words and music. It feels very fragile. Everyone has their own “What If” questions - For me it was; What would it have been like if I had gown up in Indiana?!” Says Zahra.
