Capitalizing on the frisky feeling of summer, alternative punk band Manic Pixi are creating in full force. Having just completed a slew of wildly entrancing showcase performances at the 2016 Northside Festival, this act is eager to share their latest jams with the world. In anticipation of their sophomore album Iron Heart, set for release on July 22nd, the free spirits in Manic Pixi have partnered with idobi Radio to unveil their new edgy tune.
“Newly Ordered World exemplifies the playful side of our second LP, Iron Heart. It’s a catchy, irresistible gem that you’d expect from Manic Pixi a la our debut album Sugar Bomb. But the lyrics get darker – more real. The instrumentals more complex. Newly Ordered World is the hard truths in poppy packaging – that’s what we love about it.” – front-woman Kat Hamilton
Idobi.com premiered the track on July 1st, stream it HERE
About Manic Pixi:
Manic Pixi is an East Coast-based Alt-Pop Punk band. Combining the best parts of pop-punk, grunge, indie, and rock with an undeniable pop sensibility, Kat, Emmett, Marshall, and Drew craft tunes that leave you wanting to slam the wall in both defiance and heartbreak.
The band is gearing up for the release of their second full-length Iron Heart. The album will feature a more mature sound with fresher and eclectic takes on pop-punk. Take Paramore, inject them with sweeter pop-punk melodies a la Letters to Cleo, rub them down with No Doubt, drop them in a bowl full of Hole, pan fry on high in Blink-182, season with Four Year Strong and you wind up with alternative pop-punk four-piece, Manic Pixi.
Their debut album entitled “Sugar Bomb” is available for purchase via bandcamp and iTunes.
