Following on from last single ‘SHIVER’ London based duo Alice Fox and Jack St. James have spent the last 18 months steadily building their credentials within the electronic pop arena, with notable tipping points including their recent remix of the Brooklyn synth pop favourites Haerts’ ‘HEMPIGLEGIA’ which has racked up nearly 120,000 plays in under a month.
Previous tracks including ‘HOLD ON’, ‘HEARTBREAK HI’ and ‘THE ANSWER’ as well as bloggers favourite; their cover of Bon Iver’s ‘PERTH’ have earned them coveted stripes in the media and blog world, making them a significant force on the Hype Machine charts and garnering plaudits from a strong cross section of partners including POPJUSTICE, HUNGER, EARMILK, THE LINE OF BEST FIT, NYLON and DIGITAL SPY.
The AVEC SANS sounds lends itself to an eclectic hybrid of sophisticated 80’s pop moments which is co-produced by both Fox and St. James, sprinkled with a top-line of exquisite and dreamy vocal coming courtesy of Fox. The final result is a delicious offering of delicate synth pop that appeases even the most critical of the pop world’s palette.
Continuing their reign as a favoured act within the fashion elite, this summer has seen them travel to Milan for with various bookings which have included playing at the opening of Sandro, Milan’s luxury fashionhouse as well as headlining the city’sLottarox festival. Previous collaborations have included a design partnership with FARFETCH| SWEAR and being applauded by Dolce & Gabbana’s SWIDE publication.
Festival season is in full swing for the pair, with an upcoming headline slot at Bingley Live as well as appearances already under their belt at UK festivals including Redfest and XXX?
