Billed as “The Last Hurrah” it was the last ever CORNBURY Festival but we weren’t going to let that thought spoil what was possibly THE best weekend EVER!
I started Friday with a lovely piano player and vocalist by the name of Tamzene billed as the new Norah Jones and she was amazing! The Shires were followed by The Darkness who lit everything up, it was great to see and hear them again! Finishing off was James Blunt, not really my cup of tea but he got the crowd going so maybe I’m missing something…..
I moved into Saturday looking forward to seeing The Waterboys and Andy Fairweather Low and I am overjoyed to say that both were stunning. if you get a chance to go and see them, do so, that’s if you haven’t already!
Sunday was the last ever day of Cornbury Festival and what a day, all bands shone so bright! The stand out moments would have to be Jools and Geno Washington and of course The Christians, followed by Ronan Keating who surprised me with how good he was!
Whilst I’m sad to say that Cornbury Festival has closed it’s doors for the last time, it was a blast whilst it lasted!
