One of the truly great blues musicians of our time, Papa George, has released a brand-new album of new music that will throw you for a tailspin. Being the incredibly versatile and consistent artist that he is, it is no surprise that the album is a complete slam dunk. The album is titled ‘These Wheels’ and It is chock full of memorable moments that further solidify Papa George’s place in Blues history.

Among the many incredible songs is the rumbling track titled ‘Blackjack.’ The riffs, guitar, and bass bounce with a fiery edge that serve as the perfect transportation for Papa George’s ripened and soulful vocals. It is a highlight of the album and a personal favorite of mine.

Another stellar track is the scorching slow burn titled ‘Love Won’t Die In Vain.’ It radiates with pensive energy. It is very laid-back and features an understated, emotional guitar solo that really ties the song together. Papa George’s vocals are also raw and impeccably delivered. The track packs a powerful punch and is one of the many peaks on the album.

From start to finish, ‘These Wheels’ is an absolute pleasure to listen to. It has too many incredible moments to list and that is why it is best that you listen to it for yourself.
