Multi-million selling US sensations Boyce Avenue have today released their brand new single ‘Be Somebody’, which premiered yesterday with People Magazine.
‘Be Somebody’ was recorded with the Espionage production team, whose credits include Beyonce’s ‘Irreplaceable’ and Train’s ‘Hey Soul Sister’. The track, which was mixed by Mark Endert (Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw), is the lead single from upcoming album Road Less Traveled, which is scheduled for an early 2016 release.
Boyce Avenue, who hold the distinction of being THE most-watched independent band on YouTube with over 2 billion views, is comprised of the three Manzano brothers – Alejandro (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Fabian (guitar, vocals) and Daniel (bass, percussion, vocals). They’ve performed on Good Morning America, were hailed by Billboard when they “outdid Beyonce & won the internet,” were praised by MTV, who pointed out “7 Reasons the Entire Internet’s Obsessed with Boyce Avenue and Why You Should Be, Too,” and were just yesterday spotlighted as one of “YouTube’s Top 30 Influencers” by the Hollywood Reporter, who placed them at no.6.
The Florida trio formed in 2004 and in 2007 they started posting videos on YouTube – clips that saw them performing both covers and originals. The videos resonated instantly and to date the band’s YouTube channel has amassed over 2.1 BILLION views and over 7.5 million subscribers, making them the second biggest band on YouTube, just trailing Maroon 5, and ranked by subscribers above artists such as Beyonce, Shakira, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga. The band has also amassed over a half-million Twitter followers and almost 3 million Facebook subscribers, forging a lasting and passionate digital fan base that have followed Boyce Avenue’s every move for years.
Boyce Avenue are one of the biggest live bands on the planet, having played shows in over 25 countries (including selling out UK headline shows at Hammersmith Apollo), and will embark on a huge March world tour in support of Road Less Traveled, visiting the US, Canada, India, SE Asia and Europe.
The band will start their eight-date UK & Ireland tour in Belfast on March 10th and finish at London’s Roundhouse on March 20th. European tour dates can be found below:
