Catfish And The Bottlemen have announced a 15 date UK headline tour running from November 5 to December 13, in addition to their largest show to date at London Koko on November 7. The tour, which is on sale now, will follow both the release of their highly anticipated debut album The Balcony through Communion/Island Records on September 15, 2014, and a frenetic festival season which sees the English lads from Llandudno playing over 30 dates including Reading & Leeds, Latitude and T In The Park, plus Ibiza/Mallorca Rocks alongside Jake Bugg.
A lean jolt of youthful energy- recorded with Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Peace) on production duties- The Balcony includes the singlesHomesick (Zane Lowe Next Hype, XFM Evening playlist), Rango (Radio 1 BBC Introducing Playlist, Zane Lowe’s 100 Hottest Tracks of The Year, XFM Daytime playlist), Pacifier (Radio 1 INMWT playlist, XFM daytime playlist), Kathleen (Radio 1 playlist, 6Music Playlist, XFM Daytime playlist) and Fallout (Radio 1 playlist, XFM Daytime playlist, Absolute playlist, & 6Music playlist). The album release sees the culmination of six years of tenacity and sheer bloody-mindedness from Van McCann (vocals/guitar), Billy Bibby (guitar), Benji Blakeaway (bass) and Bob Hall (drums). The turbo-charged last 18 months of this period has been spent very much in the public eye: signing to Communion/Island Records, earning Radio 1 playlist slots for their 3 most recent singles ‘Pacifier’, ‘Kathleen’ and ‘Fallout’ (with all 3 debuting as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record In The World) and headlining the BBC Introducing Stage at this year’s Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
