DMA’S are back in full flight with ‘Hurracane’, a soaring, emotionally charged new single that lands as the latest preview of their forthcoming self‑titled album, now available to pre‑order. It’s the band at their most widescreen: guitar‑led, anthemic, and built around a chorus that sticks from the first hit.
Speaking about the track, Matt Mason says the song’s cyclical motion mirrors its lyrical theme. “‘Hurracane’ has a recurrent musical motion that’s a nod to the song lyrically and we used the idea of a displacing storm to tell the story, leaning into a style that we hadn’t recorded ourselves before.”
The new record, written between the band’s Glebe studio in Sydney and sessions in LA, marks a defining moment for DMA’S. It pushes their signature sound into fresh territory while keeping the emotional punch fans expect. It also features the previously released ‘My Baby’s Place’ and ‘Heatin Park’, both of which hit #1 most played on triple j and have already clocked nearly 2 million streams combined.
Co‑produced with GRAMMY‑nominated Lach Bostock (Mansionair) and featuring contributions from Jimi Somewhere and Styalz Fuego, the album promises a bold, evolved chapter for the trio.
DMA’S will bring the new material to UK and Ireland stages early next year, with their February 2027 tour going on sale 12th June 2026, a run that’s guaranteed to move fast.
A new era is forming and if ‘Hurracane’ is anything to go by, it’s going to hit hard.
