First unearthed from Sydney’s eclectic underground live music scene, 25 year old Lëura now commands a full band on her forthcoming EP aptly titled ‘Brutal, Broken, Unspoken.’ The freshman released weaves a delicate soundscape that ebbs and flows effortlessly between saturated lyrics and multi-‐layered guitars.
Recorded at Sydney’s renowned Jungle Studios, the entire record is engineered and produced by Lachlan Mitchell (The Jezabels) and boasts an impressive maturity.
The first anticipated release from the EP will be ‘Drifter’, an openly emotional exploration that bleeds through the themes of guilt and regret. The lyrics “Sins give their knees, for you, for me” transcend the track beyond melancholy and into cathartic release.
“I’m quite openly wounded by the world” states the young artist. “Drifter was the last song written for the record, and the only one written in hindsight. It’s an exhausting journey that I feel anyone can relate to.”
Reminiscent of current UK darlings London Grammar and Daughter, the evolution of Lëura promises to flourish.
