If your heart beats in 4/4 and your soul still lives in the golden age of pop-punk, Electric Bristol is calling. On September 25th, Brighton’s own As It Is headline a night of high-octane emo revival, backed by alt-pop disruptors Artio. Expect sweat, singalongs, and the kind of emotional release that only a chorus shouted by 300 strangers can deliver.

Since forming in 2012, As It Is have carved out a space as one of the UK’s most beloved emo-pop exports. Signed to Fearless Records, they’ve built a discography that swings between vulnerability and defiance, with albums like Okay. and I Went to Hell and Back tackling mental health, identity, and the messy beauty of being human.

Frontman Patty Walters leads the charge with raw, melodic vocals that channel the urgency of Taking Back Sunday and the sincerity of The Starting Line. Guitarist Ronnie Ish and bassist Alistair Testo round out a lineup that’s tight, passionate, and always ready to turn a venue into a therapy session with distortion pedals.

Live, As It Is are electric. Their shows are communal, cathartic, and full of moments that make you feel like you’re part of something bigger. Whether it’s the anthemic “Dial Tones” or the gut-punch of “The Fire, The Dark,” this is a band that knows how to connect.

Supporting As It Is is Artio, a Leeds-based trio who’ve been quietly building a reputation for genre-bending brilliance. Their sound fuses glitchy electronics, punk attitude, and pop hooks into something that feels both futuristic and feral. Think Pale Waves meets Bring Me The Horizon, with a dash of hyperpop chaos.

Tracks like “Product of My Own Design” and “Pyrokid” showcase their knack for blending vulnerability with venom. Lead vocalist Rhiannon Mair commands the stage with theatrical flair and emotional depth, making Artio the perfect foil to As It Is’s melodic melancholy.

If you haven’t seen them live yet, this is your chance. They’re the kind of band that turns support slots into headline moments.

This isn’t just another gig—it’s a generational echo. A night where pop-punk veterans and alt-pop newcomers collide in a celebration of emotion, energy, and the enduring power of music to make us feel seen. Whether you’re reliving your Warped Tour days or discovering your first emo anthem, Electric Bristol on September 25th is where you’ll find your people.
