Of the brand-new EP, Fink says:
"During the making of Fink's Sunday Night Blues Club Vol 1, I was blessed with some epic sessions from some really great players: Colin Stetson, David Shirley, Hugo Devenhard, Mike Dawes, Martin Harley. Some of the original takes didn't make it, particularly with one in mind - Colin's mind-blowing 10 minute take on ‘Black Curls’.
So, I took the opportunity to basically remix the whole record, and I realised these dubs had to see the light of day. What resulted is this instrumental side to the project, which reflects some of the jams that ultimately led to the final takes."
Also out today is the vinyl release of ‘Fink’s Sunday Night Blues Club Vol. 1’. Originally released earlier in the year, the blues album was met with widespread critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone Magazine dubbing it "magnificent, sublime and seductive from track one", and Gigwise heralding it as “Wonderful, harrowing, and intelligent blues perfection”.
Fink has recently come off tour, performing tracks from ‘Fink’s Sunday Night Blues Club Vol. 1’ in prestigious venues across Europe including a sold-out show at London’s Jazz Café earlier this month (full review of the evening HERE)
A full Fink tour is also confirmed to take place later this year. Full schedule and further details HERE
