Fletchr Fletchr are having a moment, and they know it. Fresh from the momentum of last autumn’s breakout EP We All Feel the Same, the fast‑rising indie outfit return with ‘Fucking With My Head’, a widescreen, emotionally charged new single that cements their reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting young guitar bands.
Rolling Stone UK recently tipped them as “on the path to the big time”, and this release feels like the sound of a band stepping confidently into that prediction.
‘Fucking With My Head’ is Fletchr Fletchr at their boldest: a soaring, cinematic indie‑rock cut that pairs shimmering guitars with lyrics that cut straight to the bone.
Vocalist Rohan Fletcher describes the track as an attempt to personify anxiety itself, to make something abstract feel tangible.
“It’s turning anxiety into a person. Giving that feeling a presence so it’s easier to understand” he explains.
The accompanying video, directed by Maisy Banks, leans into that idea. A lone dancer moves with frantic, expressive energy, embodying the tension and unease threaded through the song’s narrative.
Fletchr Fletchr’s story is rooted in connection. Rohan Fletcher and guitarist/songwriter Adam Sanders have been creating music together since sixth form, navigating early solo projects, heartbreaks, and personal upheaval side by side.
The loss of Rohan’s father — the band’s biggest champion — deepened that bond further. “That’s when he became a Fletcher,” Rohan says of Adam. “We’re doing it in the name of something now, rather than just for ourselves.”
Joined by drummer Oli Williams and bassist George Green (who contributes to the writing for the first time on this new material), the band’s chemistry is unmistakable. Their songs feel instinctive, lived‑in, and emotionally wired.
The band’s ascent has been rapid. After selling out a string of grassroots venues last year, they closed their debut headline tour with a packed‑out show at London’s Dome in Tufnell Park.
This summer sees them hit a run of major UK and EU festivals — from Isle of Wight to Prague’s Metronome — before they return for their biggest headline run yet.
