All of the Summer festivals have been and gone, the thought of standing knee deep in mud, drinking overpriced cider whilst wearing clothes that are already damp from the night before are distant memories......You yearn for an event that hosts some of the coolest bands out there but you don't fancy battling with the elements to be there, well folks, do we have THE event for you!
Three of Glasgow’s most enthusiastic music pushers have put their heads together to bring a new addition and put a twist into the music festival culture. Freakender is a garage/psych/pop festival taking place between Friday 16th - Sunday 18th September 2016 at The Old Hairdressers in Glasgow and will feature the very best in independent guitar music from Glasgow and beyond.
Early bird tickets have now sold out. Limited weekend tickets are available priced £15.00 with day tickets priced £5/7/12.00 available once the weekend allocation sells out.

Freakender is the brainchild of Ian Crawford (El Rancho), Holly Calder (Eyes Wide Open) and Ross Keppie (Fuzzkill Records). Counting over 15 years in promoting local/international shows, managing bands, running club nights, releasing records/tapes, presenting radio shows and DJing, the three independent individuals share a love and passion for live music and are fully involved and respected in Glasgow’s music scene.
This is the first event all three have worked together on and they are ecstatic to present an exclusive performance from East Los Angeleno’s Feels - first time in Scotland. The band who feature captivating front women Laena Geronimo ex The Like and daughter of DEVO’s Alan Myers debut album was produced by Ty Segall and came out on both on Castle Face Records/Burger Records, they are currently a must see band you don’t want to miss!
