Ivor Novello winning singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg (known as Passenger) achieved his first ever UK Number 1 album today with ‘Young as the Morning Old as the Sea’, beating off the competition from his hero Bruce Springsteen!
It is an incredible achievement for Brighton based Mike who has gone from street busker to worldwide star in the past few years. Alongside the UK, Passenger has also charted at No.1 in Australia and New Zealand as well as Top 5 in Ireland with further charts still to be announced.
Mike said, “This is so unbelievably exciting! When I saw that we were up against Bruce Springsteen and Shawn Mendes I basically wrote off any chance of getting a Number One anywhere. It's a huge surprise and just the most amazing feeling! I think this is probably how Leicester fans felt last season.”
With new single ‘Anywhere’ all over the radio, Mike takes to the road with his brand new band for 13 UK Dates this winter.
