Recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall, Jake Bugg's debut DVD shouldn't disappoint too many fans. Personally, I would have preferred to have had the small but worthwhile interviews with Jake and the behind-the-scenes footage which are slotted between every couple of songs as 'bonus features' and not part of the main show, but hey, that's not really all that important, we also have a 'forward' button if we just wish to hear the music.
This is Jake at his best, showcasing his incredible talents for someone still so young, the lad is a real musician who I can't imagine fading away anytime soon. The set list includes hits and highlights from his two smash hit studio albums, and has a guest appearance from Johnny Marr. Jake is an amazing live performer, and his usual musicians are on top form, as well as a few extras who just bring something more to the greatness. As expected, the filming, video and sound quality on the DVD is also very good. 'Jake Bugg: Live At The Royal Albert Hall' is a must for his legions of fans, and I only wish I had been there to experience it in person.
