The origin of the word despair is to 'be without hope'.
Spairs = hopes.
False Alarm is the debut single from forthcoming album ‘Spills’ from Jonn Penney & Dan Worton of Ned’s Atomic Dustbin’s new band ‘Spairs’ released Friday 12th November.
When asked about the lead single Jonn says "False Alarm is a love song. I don't do many and most I have are a bit more obscure than this I think. It's about permanence. So many aspects of our lives now seem temporary or throw-away but a relationship can be rock solid and it can survive the slings and arrows if there is some modicum of belief in it..."
A love song it may be but make no mistake, this album has the mighty riffs, emotion and rock/moshability one would expect from such pedigree. This prolific lyricist, combined with the multi-instrumentalist talent that is Dan Worton has created something very special. This isn’t a Ned’s Atomic Dustbin side project, this is a totally new beast born out of lockdown.
Dan and Jonn have invited some very gifted players along for the live ride so that the shows will be a full-on, full-tilt, full band affair. Tickets for the dates next May are on sale now.
