Fleetwood's own Harrison Rimmer just released his latest single ‘Tough Love’, following the release of his debut album ‘Larkholme’ in 2022! This year we see Harrison returning with the first single from his second album ‘Cheaper Than Therapy’.
‘Tough Love’ is out today on all major music platforms and will be celebrated with a launch show in Blackpool at Compass Café Bar on the 27th July.
One hazy morning in Manchester, whilst sitting on his friend’s couch overlooking the city, he was reflecting on the night’s shenanigans and the things his nearest and dearest had said to him over the years, this led him to write this song. ‘Tough Love’ draws inspiration from Harrison’s love of 80’s power ballads and 90's alternative rock, fusing the likes of John Farnham, Phil Collins and Celine Dion alongside the likes of Nirvana, Pixies and Eels.

“This song is for anyone who needs an extra push to get the help they need. For me this was the rallying cry I needed to be more open and honest to myself, and to the people around me. To actually start putting the work in on myself rather than say I’ll do all those things, fall into bad habits and then inevitably self-destruct.”
He has been touring over twelve years around the UK, Australia, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, France and parts of Asia playing to anyone at any time. His sound is a blend of Bruce Springsteen with a flavouring of Nirvana and Johnny Cash. He has supported the likes of Boston Manor, PET NEEDS, Mark Chadwick (The Levellers), John Power (CAST), Big Country, Peatbog Faeries, Rick Witter (Shed Seven), Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Tony Wright (TerrorVision), Red Ken (Ferocious Dog), Ben Ottewell (Gomez), Gaz Brookfield, Henshaw and many more.
