"a pure, jangly summer smash hit” - Little Indie Blogs
Indie powerhouse Corella have returned with their mighty powerful, summer anthem ‘Dice’ - Out Now! The release comes in conjunction with the announcement of two headline shows in association with Live Nation at London’s the Lock Tavern on 15th August, and Manchester’s The Deaf Institute on 16th August.
Produced by longtime collaborator Sugar House (Pale Waves, Viola Beach), ’Dice’ sees Corella take a step forward with a more mature and heavier undertone to the jangly guitar pop we’ve grown to know so well.
Corella said: "Dice has been in the locker for quite a while. We’ve been playing it live and people always loved it, but we wanted it to be right on the release. The general vibe of Dice has always been the direction we wanted to step into, and we think we’ve pulled it off!”
Since meeting at university the Manchester band have been making quite an impact with their refreshing alt-pop tracks - earning them well over two million streams on Spotify. With previous support from the likes of BBC Introducing, ITV, BBC Sport and Manchester United FC, their latest singles ‘Bloom’ and ‘Let On’ enjoyed pick up from Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’ and 'The Indie List’ playlists.
The release of ‘Dice’ continues an already packed out summer for Corella with numerous live appearances at festivals including the Great Escape, Dot to Dot, and most recently Sheffield inner city festival, Tramlines. With a performance at YNOT to come this weekend (alongside Wolf Alice, Foals, Two Door Cinema Club), and their headline shows in association with Live Nation to come shortly after, they’re showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Corella will play the Saloon Bar stage at YNOT festival this Sunday 28th. Set time 8:00pm - 8:30pm.
Live Dates in association with Live Nation:
15th August - The Lock Tavern, London
16th August - The Deaf Institute, Manchester
