Rising Woolwich rapper Steve Drive has dropped his latest single ‘Are You Really’, a new release leading up to his debut mixtape which will be out early next year. Listen HERE.
Produced by frequent collaborator Cage (M Huncho, Digga D), the trap anthem cements Steve’s position at the forefront of UK trap music influenced by the sounds coming out of Atlanta and Florida.
Alongside the release, Steve has also released the official visual for the track directed by CashStack.
Steve has been on an upward trajectory since the release of his his debut EP ‘C.R.E.A.M’ and recent single ‘Super Trapstar’.He has been championed by key tastemakers including Complex, BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, Reprezent and Rinse FM. Named as one to watch on BBC 1Xtra’s ‘Fresh 1’s, plus being invited for in-person interviews with both Snoochie Shy and Kenny Allstar, Steve has additionally received two ‘track of the weeks’ from Charlie Sloth on his Apple Music radio show.
Recent collaborations include a joint single with Nottingham rapper M’Way, a feature on M Huncho’s UK Top 10 album which also released with a music video, plus support slot at Luton rapper Nafe Smallz’s headline show at KOKO, and an appearance with M Muncho at Outernet.
Influenced by US trap music, classic R&B and UK rap, his melodic flows, hard-hitting lyrics and signature delivery have attracted the attention of some of the UK’s biggest names including Headie One, Fredo, Young Adz, Nines, M Huncho and more.
Steve Drive is one of the most exciting UK rappers carving out his own distinct lane in the scene today. 2024 is poised to be a breakout year for the Woolwich rapper.
