Monday 8th September sees the release of “Pretty Girls” the third single from Little Dragon’s most successful and critically acclaimed album to date, “Nabuma Rubberband” which hit #1 in the Record Store & Independent Charts and #14 in the Official charts in the UK.
2014 kicked off in spectacular style with the release of the first single “Klapp Klapp” which saw the band make their biggest US primetime TV appearance to date performing the track on the David Letterman Show and in the UK on Later With Jools Holland
“Klapp Klapp” was accompanied by the first in a two-part video collaboration with the creative directorNabil (Kanye West, Frank Ocean, James Blake). Part one was directed by Taylor Cohen and features an enigmatic young zombie girl in a post-apocalyptic landscape at the start of her life / death. Part two is sound tracked by the enigmatic slow-jam, “Pretty Girls” and continues the striking piece of film showing the capture and enforced treatment of the zombie girl who conjures a spirit beyond the grave, ending in a shocking and violent climax which brings the epic two-part tale to a dark close.
Here in the UK the band performed an earth shattering set on the John Peel stage at Glastonbury and a stunning BB6 Music Lauren Laverne acoustic session on site at the weekend:
