To coincide with the release of his new single 'Feel The Rain' on 5th May, prodigiously talented singer-songwriter Marley Blandford is pleased to present his charming acapella take on Pharrell Williams' 'Happy'.
Aged only 19, Portsmouth-based Blandford has already achieved a great deal in his burgeoning career. Previous single, ‘Midnight Train To Paris’, was released in 2013 to great acclaim, winning support from BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson.
‘Feel The Rain', taken from his forthcoming album 'Shine On', sees him collaborate with legendary brass musician, Martyn Ford, who has worked with such acts as Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, and Elton John, and was released on 5th May via Silentrooms Records.
The new single and album are the culmination of years of hard work from Blandford, who has already won support from numerous established artists, including McFly’s Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd and Danny Jones.
It is hard work that has clearly paid off, and whilst the young songwriter wears his influences on his sleeve, his music remains forward-thinking and progressive. Multiple genres are straddled as Blandford tips his hat to Ben Howard, John Mayer and The Police along the way.
