Following the critically acclaimed release of Meadowlark’s ‘Three Six Five’ EP in May of 2014, the Bristol-based duo are set to release their second offering of melancholic alt-pop in the form of the ‘Dual’ EP (produced by Ant West – Lewis Watson, LAYLA, We The Wild) set for release on 30th March through Believe Recordings.
Ahead of the release of the new EP, the band have announced a series of dates with Amber Run kicking off at Brighton's The Haunt on 22nd April before closing the tour out at Dublin's Academy 2 on 6th May.
From the new EP, lead track, ‘Eyes Wide’ can now be streamed on SoundCloud and was recently premièred on Huw Stephens’ Radio One show, where Huw hailed the track as a favourite.
Last month also saw the duo – consisting of singer/guitarist, Kate McGill and producer/guitarist, Daniel Broadley – embark on a widely successful tour of the UK supporting acoustic troubadour, James Veck-Gilodi.
Previous supporters include Burberry, who invited the band to come in for an acoustic session, which turned out to be one of their most mesmeric videos to date, available to watch here. They’ve also gained continued support from some of the UK’s biggest alternative stations, including XFM and 6Music.
Meadowlark are: Kate McGill and Daniel Broadley
