MisterWives have unveiled the official video for ‘Reflections’, the title track from the New York City trio’s debut EP released earlier this year. Steeped in the band’s unmistakable blend of shimmering indie art-pop, the ‘Reflections’ video sees MisterWives heading back to their high school years and opting for playtime over study.
Produced and mixed by Eminem collaborator Frequency, ‘Reflections’ is reminiscent of Chvrches meets Ellie Goulding, with a hint of Robyn and a big splash of original queen of NYC pop, Cyndi Lauper.
Among MisterWives’ critical acclaim since the release of the ‘Reflections’ EP, proud champions MTV have selected EP song ‘Vagabond’ as the title track for upcoming drama Finding Carter. Hitting the UK in January, the series features Kathryn Prescott – most recognisable as Emily Fitch of the cult UK youth drama Skins.
MisterWives are currently finishing their tour of the US in support of indie rockers Bleachers, which will then be followed by the band hitting the road Stateside with electro punks Twenty One Pilots from the start of September. The band is due to visit UK and European shores at the start of the new year in support of their debut album release. With more news on this still yet to come, one thing’s for certain, 2015 will be the year of MisterWives.
