Well here we are, playlist #38, a day later than usual but it’s here all the same.
When you reach a certain age, things happen to your body and on Tuesday night (when I should have been pulling this playlist together), my body told me at 8:15pm that it needed sleep, I hadn’t had a bad day or a late night the day before but for some reason, all it wanted to do was watch Netflix for 20 minutes before my eyelids dropped and I entered the world of slumber for a good 10 hours.
Anyway, enough about me getting old, let’s talk about new music and specifically, the 9 tracks of fine music that I have for you on this playlist.
We have acts from all over the world and a multitude of styles for you to get your teeth into. Whilst you’re listening, why not check out the bios of our featured artists, click their socials and have a dig through and you might just find something interesting….
See you on the other side.

Danni Giddings
Danni Giddings is a singer-songwriter who lives in a small town in Victoria, Australia with her husband and two young children. Her main instrument of choice is piano and vocals, however she is not afraid to work with a variety of instruments and sounds for the pursuit of creative expression. Danni started writing songs from a very early age and now enjoys the process of co-creating with many different artists and musicians from a range of genres.
Danni grew up listening to many different forms of music from classical, popular, straight through to heavy metal and Indie and has always had a keen ear for any sound that could be imagined into a song. Her inspirations are numerous and wide spread believing that anything could be turned into a song and even if it’s enjoyed only by her, SHOULD be turned into a song.
Her latest offering ‘Burning Desire’ is about self destructive, obsessive relationships and unrequited desire and was recorded as a collaboration between Danni in Australia and producer Will Davidson based in the UK.
Danni writes at least a song a day and needs 3 producers to even stand a chance of keeping up with her output, she has covered many popular songs and has written over 100 original songs though many of which should never see the light of day (as she puts it).
Have a look through her social media links as there’s much to take in about this interesting songwriter from ‘down under’.

Graybeat
‘Paper Shoes is the recent release from GrayBeat, the project of Minneapolis-based producer Robin Sedivy. GrayBeat presents a hypnotic and melodic sound in the electronic and psych-pop realms.
The project touts eclectic inspiration, including African music, hip-hop, reggae, rock, jazz, and electronica. Sedivy creates all sounds from his home studio, in addition to background vocals from his wife, Tracia.
"The song is about the honesty and bravery of pursuing a life of artistic or musical creation, in spite of one’s own internal logic, existential fears or economic barriers," Sedivy explains about ‘Paper Shoes’.
The track's creative process arose after Sedivy took music production training with Mike Mangini (digable planets, baha men, shrek). "The resulting sound is a combination of my past self-taught production experience and the formal infusion of knowledge from a lifetime pro, and award-winning (2x Grammy, etc) producer," Sedivy says.

Thals
Thals is a self confessed ‘nice person’, she does cool things and makes amazing music.
Her latest track ‘VILLANELLE’ landed on the 25th February ahead of her debut EP that is pencilled in for release later this year.
Of the track, The Vinyl Skate Team commented, “The song’s retro-80s tinged synths, cavernous drums topped with inspired lyrics of intense love and undying loyalty is surely a combination to be reckoned with.”
If you’re a fan of the hit TV show Killing Eve, you’d know that this song is inspired by the killer psychopath Villanelle. You can check out the music video for scenes that detail the toxic love-hate, adrenaline fuelled relationship between detective and murderer that inspired the song.
This music video is out now (it came out the same day as Killing Eve season 4 started).

Jordan Pratt
The blog ‘Alfitude’ describes “Please,” the first single from “The Deepest of Blues” as “a beautifully delicate and tender approach to indie folk that feels deeply profound, emotive and captivating.”
This is the second EP from Jordan Pratt, following “Anywhere in the World” which was released in early 2020.
The first single from the new record is already drawing attention in the music world, with placements on popular playlists like Spotify’s “Fresh Finds Folk,” and playlists by indie folk curators Alex Rainbird, Indie Folk Central, and Mr. Foxx Frequency.
Jordan Pratt is a classically trained vocalist, but the voice is not the focus of this record. The tracks are lyrically driven, and the vocals and melodies make room for that.
“The Deepest of Blues” explores topics like melancholy and heartbreak, but is ultimately about hope and moving forward. Musically, this record invokes artists like Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, and Adam Melchor.
Jordan Pratt recently hosted an EP release show at Molly Malone’s in Los Angeles, if you’re in the L.A. area, keep an eye out for future live shows from this super talented musician.
