Little King have announced the September 2025 release of their eagerly awaited eighth album, Lente Viviente — a seven-track collection exploring memory, identity, and the emotional truths that bind us.
The record unfolds as follows:
Catch and Release
Dawn Villa
Who’s Illegal?
Kindness for Weakness
Sweet Jessie James
Pass Through Filters
The Living Lens
For the first time since 2019, the band’s studio lineup has evolved. Founding member Ryan Rosoff remains on guitars and vocals, joined by longtime collaborator David Hamilton (bass and cello), and newcomer Tony Bojorquez on drums — a seasoned performer hailing from San Carlos, MX, whose musical journey has included busking on the streets and subways of NYC. Laura Sadie Bette of Curfew provides backing vocals on tracks 4 and 7.
The title Lente Viviente — Spanish for “Living Lens” — nods to Rosoff’s video memoir project of the same name, and thematically captures the album’s introspective reach. From the innocence of childhood memories (“Catch and Release,” “Dawn Villa”) to hard-hitting meditations on border politics (“Who’s Illegal?”), emotional vulnerability (“Kindness for Weakness”), and late-life reckoning (“Pass Through Filters”), these seven songs offer a striking, cinematic perspective on the human condition.
The album was recorded between April and June 2025 at Cimamusic in Tucson, Arizona — the band’s first project tracked outside of Texas — with engineer Ricky Wascher Tavares behind the desk. Mixing duties fall once again to Daniel Salcido at Command Space Audio in Los Angeles, continuing his work from Amuse De Q (2021) and the 2023 singles “Amber Waves GoodBye” and “Silver Tongue.” Artwork is being created by Savannah Maher.
Stay tuned for more announcements in the coming weeks, including the album’s first single, video content, interviews, and behind-the-scenes insight into the making of Lente Viviente.
