Blindness & Light continues with their cascade of post-punk releases with “My Rolex Is Better Than Yours” which was released today.
The band stretches across North West Wales to Northern England. They are an informal collective of like-minded indie musicians with a deep love of creating their own style without the constraints of a rigid band structure.
Their main success so far has been radio play across many worldwide stations. At the last count this was over 3000 plays, predominantly in the US and UK.
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Colin M. Potter is currently nominated for Omiga Music Awards songwriter of the year award 2023 and was interviewed on Liverpool’s Mersey Radio as part of the ‘Home Town Hero’ feature by Gary Reddin.
Of the track, the band say, “We observed an argument in a pub in North Wales between two proud Rolex owners which developed into a fight”. "My Rolex Is Better Than Yours" provides a disturbing snapshot of the current state of humanity. The main creative process was done on a laptop at Manchester Airport and then in a forest in Styria, Austria not far from Graz. Production was then finished off later by Tony Denmade in his Warrington, UK studio. Mastering was done by AI.
