You've all heard of Record Store Day right? well how about another musical date for your calendar but this time for the good old audio cassette? Remember them, the ones that used to get lost in your car glove box? I fondly recall making mix tapes for girlfriends and sending them in the post, waiting for their call in the evening....happy days!
There's an amazing Scottish indie label called Fuzzkill records, who have an ear for punk, garage, noisy pop & lo-fi sounds, they're releasing a compilation called 'NOW That's What I Call Music 666' on cassette and digital download on 27th September for Cassette Store Day.
The compilation is a dual celebration, it's the labels 1st birthday and it's Cassette Store Day.
The release covers a load of garage, psych, slacker and punk artists who they have worked with over the year from Scotland, as well as artists from England, United States and Canada. It Features new, old and previously unheard tracks from each artist.
