Ivy Ash is here with her second single ‘Rain Again’ which is released on July 2nd.
Over the last 2 years Ivy Ash has been working hard on her musical craft and has gained many achievements along the way. The song itself is an oxymoron in that it is an upbeat track but the meaning and lyrical topography of the song is sadder and on the down side.
This style has become more and more popular and big artists like Lady Gaga has experimented with this on her latest album, ‘Chromatica’.
The song starts off strong and keeps that momentum the whole way through. The backing track and vocals have a Kim Petras sound to it whilst being upbeat and has a groovy dance feel with elements of bubblegum-pop/disco and classic pop style sounds to it.
The song is super catchy with although a little sadder lyric it is still a feel good track. Ivy Ash’s vocal delivery on the song is super strong and you can hear her very well. Her voice fits this style of song well and it is lovely to hear. You can immediately pick out the layered vocals with her harmonies which help to elevate the song and add a deeper dynamic to the track.
Overall a very strong track which many of her listeners will definitely be hitting that replay button over and over.
