Thirty years after they burst onto the scene with one of the defining anthems of the Britpop era, Republica are back on the road celebrating the anniversary of their landmark debut self-titled album.
Bringing their unmistakable blend of punk attitude, electronic beats and stadium-sized hooks to Bristol’s THEKLA on Sunday 29 November, the band promise an evening packed with the songs that made them one of the UK's most exciting acts of the 1990s.
Fronted by the unmistakable Saffron, Republica became synonymous with explosive live performances and infectious singles including Ready To Go and Drop Dead Gorgeous, both of which reached the UK Top 3 and helped propel the band to more than three million record sales worldwide.
Fans can expect a high-energy celebration of a catalogue that continues to soundtrack dance floors, festivals and sporting events three decades on.
