A blast of direct raw Indie Rock that’s as infectious as it is heartfelt. The sound of The Kaizens is instantly recognisable and has already seen them burst out of their hometown Torbay, with their sizeable ambition lining up the rest of the world in their sights. Their breadth and power becomes even more evident when on stage, where they’ve been hailed by fans and critics alike for sounding record-perfect in the live arena, but with a spine-tingling and raw delivery. Following the release of their four-track self-titled EP, The Kaizens original music received numerous air plays from radio stations all across the UK. They were also invited to perform a live session for BBC Introducing. 2018 brought them a very busy year playing gigs and festivals and supporting touring bands all around the UK. They have played with / supported such bands as The Darkness, Top loader and X factor star, Luke Friend. One of the bands highlights was being able to meet and play in front of Glastonbury festivals own Michael Eavis. The band managed to reach the final in the Glastonbury festival competition, which was judged by himself and other critics. The future is looking big for the band as they are adding to their long list of future gigs, events and festivals all around the country. "The Best bands in the world have both an intrinsic bond that binds them together, and a natural flair that instantly wins over hearts and minds." That’s exactly what you get in The Kaizens.
Westcountry folk-rock duo Sound of the Sirens released brand new album This Time on 25 January 2019 on independent label DMF Records. Their debut album For All Our Sins was released in 2017 to wide praise including from R2 Magazine who called it a “stunning debut collection”. New album This Time continues to showcase an evident gift for crafting unique, vivid and enduring melodies with 15 catchy and heartfelt songs all written by Sound of the Sirens, aka Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood, whose voices harmonise beautifully throughout the album. Their live shows combine a natural facility for connecting with their audiences and unforgettable performances with warmth, humour and, above all, real conviction.
Charlie Louise is a singer/songwriter from Menheniot, Cornwall, combining acoustic pop vibes with country vocals to create a unique sound. She has supported the likes of Wildwood Kin and Haunt The Woods at Plymouth Pavilions, and also recorded her debut demo EP “I’m Not like You” at Abbey Road Studios last November, donating some of the CD proceeds to Livewire Youth Music Project. Having only been performing for the past couple of years, Charlie has quickly become an established solo artist on the Southwest Circuit. Charlie played over 50 gigs over the course of last year including multiple festivals, such as Boardmasters, Looe Saves The Day and BBC Introducing stages at the Biggest Weekend Fringe event at Exeter Phoenix. Charlie also played Port Eliot Festival last year and is excited to be back with a new repertoire of originals.
