Wales’ most fantastical five are back—recharged, remastered, and ready to ride again.
After nearly a decade of radio silence, Super Furry Animals have burst back into the ether with a surprise announcement: six Supacabra tour dates across Britain and Ireland, marking their first live shows since 2016. The psychedelic pop pioneers—Gruff Rhys, Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Daf Ieuan, and Guto Pryce—will kick off the run in Dublin on 6 May 2026, with stops in Glasgow, Llandudno, Manchester, London, and a massive Cardiff homecoming.
Tickets go on general sale Friday 3 October 2025 at 10am via superfurry.com, with support from disco-rock duo Getdown Services (all dates except London), Welsh surf-psych outfit Melin Melyn (Cardiff only), and South London soul-searchers Honeyglaze (London only).
But that’s not all. To mark the 20th anniversary of their lush, sun-drenched seventh album, Love Kraft, the band will reissue the record in multi-format glory—double vinyl, 2CD, and digital—on 24 October 2025 via Cardiff’s Strangetown Records. The reissue includes a bonus disc titled Kiss Me With Apocalypse, featuring 22 demos, rarities, and alternate mixes, plus four previously unreleased tracks including the Daf Ieuan-led “Rock ’N’ Roll Flu,” premiering on BBC 6 Music with Huw Stephens on 2 October.
Originally recorded in the Catalonian town of Figueres (home of Salvador Dalí), Love Kraft saw the Furries escape Wales for gastronomic adventures, poolside samples, and a collaborative spirit that shimmered through every string and synth. With Beastie Boys producer Mario Caldato Jr at the helm, the album became a woozy, harmony-rich gem—now remastered by Donal Whelan and wrapped in Pete Fowler’s iconic diorama sleeve.
Expect the Supacabra tour to be more than a nostalgia trip. With three decades of sonic rebellion behind them—from inflatable bears and tanks to Welsh-language chart history—the Furries return with unreleased music, renewed energy, and a setlist that promises joy, chaos, and cosmic pop communion.
