Swedish trio Baskery have announced will be returning to the UK for select number of dates this October after playing The Borderline in London earlier this year. The tour kicks off at The Islington in London on October 20th and concludes on November 1st at Little Rabbit Barn in Essex. The three sisters (pictured from left to right: Greta, Sunniva, and Stella) are celebrating their recently signing to Warner Bros. Records globally.
The band are currently working on new material for their upcoming album with release date as yet TBA, which will be their first new material since 2013's Little Wildlife, their third release.
Drawing comparisons from Fleetwood Mac to The Black Keys, The Dixie Chicks and everything in between. Baskery is known for their unique instrumentation, fierce live attitude and energetic shows, and their distinct blend of punk, folk, and Americana genres. The result is a sound unlike anything out there, that they've been known to dub as "Killbilly" rock, "mud-country" and "banjo punk".
Baskery formed in 2006 following the split of The Slaptones, a band that featured their father Janåke Bondesson on drums. Their first album, Fall Among Thieves, was released in Europe in 2008, and in the UK in January 2009. New Friends, their second album was released in 2011 with their third album Little Wild Life released in 2013.
