The brainchild of South Dakota based Jared Lindbloom, the project flawlessly blends elements of folk with indie sensibilities and electronic elements to create organic yet bright soundscapes packed with emotion and musical depth akin to the likes of The National, The War On Drugs and Sam Himself.
‘Swoon’ is no exception, bringing heartfelt lyricism and silky delicate vocal delivery over a swelling soundscape of driving drums, grounding bass, layers of guitar and subtle washes of synth. Showcasing catchy melodies and a beautiful tenderness, the track gently ebbs and flows over the danceable beat before bursting into an explosive guitar solo in the later stages. Melancholic, yet retaining a breezy brightness and a resilient optimism, the track is described by Jared as “My post-pandemic open-mouth kiss to the world.”
