Sheffield based The Fargo Railroad Co. bring their Southern Rock and Americana roots on new album ‘Time & Grace’ due for release on April 5th 2024.
Time & Grace transcends the decade the band have been creating together, featuring songs that have been mainstays in live sets for years alongside recent real life post-lockdown experiences. Favourites in their live performances, such as ‘Going Nowhere’ or ‘One Mile’, are reimagined in the studio adding instrumentals from Melvyn Duffy on Pedal Steel and Mark Edwards on Keys. The record features the bands brooding powerhouse sounds with their fun swagger of live shows, alongside lyrics of love, loss and some crazy drinking along the way! Elope and get married in ‘Vegas’, or head down to Sheffield’s ‘London Road’, Time & Grace pulls at the heartstrings with front porch stories over country blues and fan favourite driving anthems.
Established in 2013, The Fargo Railroad Co. - Jody Davies (vocals, acoustic guitar), Steven ‘Smack’ McMurray (drums) Andy P Davison (electric guitar, harmonica) and Andy ‘KBoo’ Dye (bass guitar, electric / acoustic guitar) - have gathered a loyal fanbase through touring their two released albums across the UK. 2016’s ‘This One’s For You’ launched the band onto the scene with a record packed with foot stompers, heartbreakers and singalong anthems. Follow up ‘Under These Lights’ released in 2019 solidified their southern country vibe featuring singles ‘Bought and Sold’ and ‘Something In The Water’
The Fargo Railroad Co’s sound settles in the broad and deep ocean of Southern Rock, harking back to the roots of country rock and blues, with touches of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Little Feat and the 70s sound of Cash, Young and Dylan; alongside the contemporary vibes of Blackberry Smoke and Jason Isbell.
One of the hardest working bands around, touring internationally and recording their songs of life’s trials and triumphs, plus two studio and a live album already in their back catalogue; new album Time & Grace will be released this April with UK tour dates to follow.
