South West based musician SAFF JUNO released her latest track ‘So Many Times’ on 28 July 2023 and to help promote the track, we here at musomuso suggested an interview feature to learn a bit more about the song.
I met Saff with her partner (also her uber talented guitarist ) Josh DC in a council run car park in her home town of Bovey Tracey, as I sat awaiting their arrival, a couple of local gangs rolled in and pulled up by my car, gave it a good look up and down before hastily departing, were my rims to cool for them? maybe my ICE was too much to handle? either way, I got on the phone and asked them to get a move on as it wouldn;t be long until they were back and goodness knows what carnage would have ensued….
I was busy listening to the amazing debut album by 90’s indie chart botherers ‘The Seahorses’, after a great guitar intro by John Squire I opened my eyes to see both Saff and Josh looking in at me, slightly embarrassed, I opened the door, greeted them and bundled them in the back as we sped off to find a safer place to chat.
2 minutes later, we were in the safe haven of a local National Trust area known as ‘Park’ which I understood was neutral ground, ha! no pesky gangs would give us any trouble whilst we were here, I set my equipment up and hit record. All you need to do is hit play on the banner below to hear the entire 30 minute interview where we chat about the following topics;
The music scene in the South West

So go on, grab a brew/beer/juice, hit play and enjoy us gassing on about all of the above for the next 30 minutes!
I’d like to thank Saff Juno and her partner Josh DC for sparing the time to talk, we had a great time watching the trees blow gently in the mid summer breeze as we chatted whilst parked up in ‘Park’, if you’re around at the weekend, why not pop in and see Saff in the cafe, if you mention that you heard her interview on musomuso.com, I bet she’ll go out of her way to make sure she gives you a scone with a few more raisins in it (she’s good like that!)
In the meantime, stream her new track ‘So Many Times’ below, in fact stream it 20 times, it’s that good, you won’t be able to resist!
Keep your eyes on the socials (Instagram, TikTok) for news of more new music as the year unfolds and be sure to check out her live performances at Exeter Cavern, Plymouth junction and if you’re in london, why not pop down to The Amersham Arms in Islington to check her and her band out on Saturday 26th August (Bank Holiday Weekend).
Until next time, keep on rockin’
PS. You’ll be glad to know that the ‘yoofs’ never came looking for me after I dropped Saff and Josh off at the meeting point, granted, I wasn’t going to hang around to find out….
