Misgivings began as an idea in 2013, after a drunken chat at a squat show In Hamburg. Based in Portsmouth, UK, they combine a love of travelling, touring, drinking beers and bands such as Samiam, Jawbreaker, Husker Du, Strung Out, Alkaline Trio & Title Fight. 

We met up with the guys at the main observation deck at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth where we chatted about imitating Buddy Holly, mute gorillas and Bob Mould, here's how we got on....

Bob Geldof is a Rock Star, Political Activist and occasional actor (he played ‘Pink’ in Pink Floyd’s movie The Wall), judge him as you will, we think that he’s a force to be reckoned with, just look back at 1985’s Live Aid and everything that went with it and show me someone else who has done as much as Geldof to raise WORLDWIDE awareness of a major catastrophe and bring much needed famine relief to stricken parts of Ethiopia, feed the world indeed.

Anyway, fast forward 29 years and here we are in Exeter’s Lemon Grove, standing backstage, drinking water and waiting for the stage times from the promoter. Read on to find out how the evening unfolded....

Tyler Sjöström is a multi-instrumentalist attempting to play such tools as; guitar, banjo, mandolin, piano, glockenspiel, harmonium–all of which he had the pleasure of tracking in the studio for his latest  album. Content from his music comes in general from life experience, observations of duplicitous lifestyles, and the desire to live in a tree.

David Gray has announced a six-date tour of the UK across late November and early December 2014, kicking off in Southend on November 27. The shows are set to end an exceptional year for the singer-songwriter, with Gray’s tenth studio album Mutineers receiving wide-spread critical acclaim, sell-out tours on both sides of the Atlantic and a recent headline show at London’s Roundhouse, as part of this year’s iTunes Festival.

Airbag lead guitarist and main song writer Bjørn Riis is releasing his debut solo album, "Lullabies in a Car Crash". The album is very much a personal statement, with lyrics dealing with fear of abandonment, alienation and loss. It’s also homage to many of Bjørn’s musical influences.

Bombay Harambee is a four-piece band from Little Rock, Arkansas. 

Dave, Trent, and Alex attended Hendrix College together. After shepherding the mercurial Jason into the fold, we undertook to plead, borrow, and beg for practice space. Finding one, we started the band.

Fusing atmospheric synth melodies with driving guitars to produce innovative electronica that draws as much from the jazz-blues of Jeff Beck and the funk of Chic as it does from classic British New Wave. Men In The Sky’s eloquent production aesthetic echoes the classic 1980s output of New Order and the iconic work of super-producer Trevor Horn, while the band’s guitars recall Depeche Mode’s venture into rockier, grittier territory in the late 80s / early 90s.

One windy afternoon when the clouds opened up around a magical coffee shop in the St Katherine's dock near where the poppies grow. There on the stairwells sat the founder of Katie and the Queue and her partner in crime Laura H. The two were ready for some interrogation by musicmuso.....the coffee flowed.
