Beans on Toast is the alias of true DIY artist Jay McAllister, who originally emerged with his album debut Standing on A Chair, produced by Mumford & Sons' Ben Lovett, featuring appearances from the likes of Frank Turner & Emmy The Great.

We caught up with Jay one sunny lunchtime in Leeds and chatted about relaxing, short memory spans and why you should never take a tent to a festival, here's how we got on....

This week post metalcore quintet, ANTOINETTE release their new EP 'Renaissance'. The first single to be taken from the EP was released last week, when the video premiered over on Punktastic.com. 

They have a new record that just came and the first single, "Back To Life," was recently featured as GoPro's Video of the Day.

This is a great pop song with an even greater video!

The Bad Years consists of members Sami Akbari and Aaron Mort. Their music spans genres from different eras, evoking sounds of bands like INXS, The Cardigans and The Kills. They have started things off with a Double A-side single, the haunting yet upbeat "Common Mistake," and "Didn't Need to Know", a middle-finger anthem to our naive attempts at coolness when we were young.

Welsh rock band Funeral For A Friend will release their latest opus ‘Chapter and Verse’ through Distiller Records on 19th January, 2015. The first track to be made public from the record is the visceral ‘You’ve Got A Bad Case of The Religions’ which was premiered on Daniel P Carter’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show last night and can be heard now here. In reference to the track, vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye says “never trust something you can’t see with your own eyes.” Funeral For A Friend will be touring the record around its release in January playing eight freshly-announced headline dates around the UK.

CAMBION have been making a name for themselves in the metal world since forming in 2009. They have played up and down the UK and a couple of times in Europe, sharing stages with the likes of Scar Symmetry, Circle of Contempt, Evile, Sacred Mother tongue,Breed 77, and toured with Chris Jericho’s band, Fozzy, and many more....
