30 years after the release of O.M.D’s Junk Culture comes the remastered 2CD Deluxe Edition. Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys returned to the Virgin Archives to revisit the album.

We nipped down to Plymouth on Tuesday 20th January to catch 4 bands playing at The Tiki Bar, on the bill were Black Foxxes, Boston Manor, Choir Vandals and Moose Blood. After their set, we had a brief chat with the bass player from Choir Vandals and asked if he was up for taking part in our 'Introducing' feature, he was, of course he was, who wouldn't be? Anyway, I raced home, penned some questions and emailed them over to the guys to take a look at. It looks like the singer Austin McCutchen drew the short straw, here's how it went....

Peace announce the release of sparkling new single ‘I’m a girl’ which was released for download on January 13th.  Written in a ‘tiny converted office unit above a weird clothing factory in Hackney that I was crashing in when I was homeless’ says singer Harrison Koisser, the song is in equal parts loud, thrashing, and thrilling, and deals with the ‘gross’ idea that ‘inside every man there’s a gender defining red faced beast’.

Mad Dog Mcrea are an award winning British folk band from Plymouth, Devon, their music blends a unique mixture of folk rock, pop, gypsy jazz and bluegrass.

We saw that they are set to play in Exeter in March and prior to the show, we thought we'd hook up and have a chat about a multitude of topics such as tales from the road, approaches to recording and the bands bucket list, here's how we got on....

Satellite Stories is a Finnish indie band renowned for packing out gig venues despite choosing to record material but release it via their own methods. After a successful UK festival run they were inspired to stick around, opting to record in Kent with producer Simon ‘Barny’ Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Bombay Bicycle Club) and have come up gold with their latest album Vagabonds due for a March 2015 release.

UK Goth acoustic rockers CADENCE NOIR have announced details of a short Feb 2015 tour. 'The something sinful tour'' is a 7 date jaunt around the UK where the band will be bringing their energetic live acoustic based rock show to their fans old and new.

Born in the UK but moving to Sligo as a child, Myles Manley started playing music around the same time he learnt to walk. Exiting his teens, this then led to him training as mathematician before abandoning that for a much more sensible career in pop.

Slime welcomes back Edinburgh-based producer Blackboxx to the label for his sophomore effort following on from the incredible ‘Sayonara’ EP. Across the last seven months since the release of his debut, Blackboxx has been garnered with praise and support from the garage underground all the way through to mainstream artists like Hannah Wants.
