The Americana Music Association UK announce their Showcase Festival line-up as part of AmericanaFestUK 2018

Jim Rodford, legendary British bass player with The Zombies, The Kinks and Argent, passed away this morning at his home in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK.  

Twisted Wheel – it may have been bad, bent and broken but it’s back, a band with integrity, fun and experienced authority. 

Watch out for her debut EP Sauvignon and a Kimono which is due to land on Feb 23rd

Edgy political and raw, the Brighton band of brothers SONS have outdone themselves with their new track 'Rise'.  They have a habit of writing tracks with one word titles which is a rather clever device, it makes their lyrics bite and, together, with the most noise two brothers could possibly make, they are quite an act, they do angry music very well indeed!

Following their first UK appearance as the standout act of Country Music Week in London in 2017, hot newcomers Walker McGuire (composed of Jordan Walker and Johnny McGuire) announce that their self-titled debut EP will be available on January 12th via Wheelhouse Records (BBR/BMG).

We caught up with Plymouth based 'Rockafella' at one of their regular haunts, Kitty O’Hanlon’s in the heart of the city.

We recently told you about a handful of intimate dates that MICA PARIS will be doing across the UK in February, paying homage to ELLA FITZGERALD. We wanted more information from Mica on why she decided to do the tour and just what Ella means to her. What started out as a few questions turned into a mammoth session so please grab yourself a drink, get comfy and enjoy reading the following interview with MICA PARIS....

Soul singer/What Not to Wear presenter Mica Paris has had phenomenal 30 year career and February 2018 sees her going on a 5-date tour performing songs by the legendary Queen of Jazz Ella Fitzgerald over Valentine's week. 

Canadian band Port Cities are still bathing in the afterglow of November's Nova Scotia Music Week, where they scooped no less than five awards, including album of the year, digital artist of the year and entertainer of the year.In light of such accolades then, its only right that the band launch themselves back into the game with their trademark single 'Back To The Bottom,' a heart-racing stomper of a track that only partially disguises much deeper emotional undercurrents.

I was fortunate enough to be front row for the final Maker Live Session of the year on the 2nd December at the Random Arms & Energy Room at Maker Heights on the Rame Peninsula. Read on to see how the evening unfolded.
